i ordered a HU from sonicelectronix and i didn't get a dash kit, just the replacement pocket. i called them and the guy told me i didn't need the dash kit, just the replacement pocket for my car. is that true? i got a 1996 maxima with bose.

I didnt need a dash kit for my 96 w/o bose, I really dont think I even needed the stupid pocket the old one seems like it would have fit fine.

 

You don't need a kit. Just a pocket if you're replacing a double din with a single.
