I need ur help picking a Amplifier

Ok heres the deal I just bought a Rockford Fosgate power T2 12" sub it runs at 1000 watt RMS, i spent close to 400$. Now my question is since is spent a crap load on the sub, couldnt cheap out on that.. i dont want to fork over another 400$ for a mutli channel rockford amp. All i need is a mono 1000rms amp. Ive looked up one that im considering getting is a MA Audio amp. Does anyone have a MA Audio Amp, if so is it any good? 1200 Watts RMS MA Audio Mono Block Amp HK1998 Amplifier $140 us.

Any suggestions will be apreitiated.

Should have spent an equal amount on the sub and amp, you're not going to find something thats gonna be worthwhile in that price range.

i most certainly agree, the subwolfer was bargand down from retail price because I bought it with the enclosre but im sure u dont have to pay retail for everything if u look hard enough. well hmm check this out nismos14

Yeah, don't tie a T2 to a MA amp. You could also look at the Hifonics Brutus if you're considering a cheap amp producing that much power that's not above $300.

Suggestion would be to save up and purchase a good amp, if not, you could end up replacing the amp and sub in the future.

Try Powerbass, older alpine cheaper US amps, memphis audio as well. Don't cheap out on amps ever. You will end up getting an amp that can't do rated power at reasonable distortion levels and you WILL send that expensive woofer some really clipped signals. Clipped power is not good whatsoever.

I loved my D61500.1 till my silly behind didn't secure it properly. I can't wait to get it back.

Personally, for the price point, Arc is the next big jump up. It is def where I will go next.

the newer US Amps amps are pretty impressive, and powerful. they've teamed up with RE, so they cant be that bad.

Infinity KSK you're missing my point completely. Its unfortunate you already bought it, but there are much better subs to be had for $400 than any Fosgate.

As long as you are happy with it, it doesn't matter.

JL and Kicker are the ONLY other brands you'd consider?

You should probably widen your horizons a wee bit, theres dozens out there many enthusiasts here would choose over all 3 of those brands...

"they can't be that bad" does not describe ARC + DLS amps, so Christopher is right.

Yes I have heard many of them. Left ALOT to be desired for me. No wonder RFs sales have been greatly diminishing putting them in for a hurtin.

Unfortunately you've fallen prey to mass marketing. Take your eyes out of the tunnel for a bit and look around. Theres ALOT better products to be had than the RFs/JLs/Kickers of the world.
