I have a 99 Max with the Bose system, and in between yesterday when i turned my car off and today when i drove to work, the volume **** on my max has decided to stop working. Is this a common problem? I know about the cd read errors and the display no working correctly or dying, but has anyone found a fix to this, or am i doomed to buy a new HU?

 

Yup happens alot. I would just go aftermarket... or try to find another OEM with the digital audio controls (98-99).
