New (old school) Sub setup
Sounds great, needs to be broken in yet though. Once they're broken in I'll do a head to head comparison with all my 8's. Didn't cost me much as I just need to get the drivers, ended up with one hx2 8 for free, the other cost me $80. So I spent a total of about $100 on the whole install of these.
From what you're coming from, I'd go with something like the oa8's or something like the Assassins, those would probably suit you VERY well... IIRC you're using a 4 channel amp to power the subs though?

Get some more! I've had the 10's, a pair of 8's before these, 12's, power 12, and a 15, and now these!
I've notice so far, with 1/2 power they are rattling things worse than any othre 8's I've used prior......

Oa8?

4channel but i can bridge 2 of the channels to make 160w at 4 and 2xx at 2ohm
Yaaaa, DLS OA8's excellent little 8's.
You should really be using a 4 channel for mids/highs and a mono for the subs... or a 2 channel bridged the OA8's are 8 ohm woofers so you can wire'em in parallel then bridge the amp into the load.

Rear channel(s) on my amp has a 200(maybe 400)hz cutoff so it will only send the "bass" frequency

All these subs are hard to find

Actually now that I think about it, the button might be for 100hz cutoff, ima have to look when the temps get below 9999999 degrees
