Late night rant

I WANT MY MIDS BACK

I was gone for 3 damn weeks for vacation in Boston and Toronto...came back...and he said they're STILL not back at the shop.

The shop owner said he called Rainbow about it, and told me that they told him they were gonna ship them out over a week and half ago. Now, I gave him the set over a MONTH ago, before I left town. Bullsh*t I tell you...

Guess I'll hold onto his Hi-Energy mids for a bit longer.

/end rant.

Not cool.....

hopefully you'll get them soon.

I have one of my own too. Not as bad, but still frustrating. My CD7000 came back from being serviced.....without the wiring harness I sent with it. Now I have to wait. I called Eclipse and they were no help, they wanted me to deal with the place they had my unit shipped out to. I then called United Radio. The guy said he needed to talk to his manager, and that he would then call me back. I know that UR is who Eclipse deals with for warranty service and they are not part of Eclipse, but I would have thought that since the harness is not very expensive for them, that they would have shipped one out to me right away. I actually just told the lady at Eclipse.."wow.....I called you guys because I thought you would be willing to help, guess not, thank you, good bye". I still plan to call someone back at Eclipse. I think I am just going to go buy a harness from Circuit City today. The whole warranty service through Eclipse had been above my expectations up until this point......

The display would turn all white at times. When this happened I would have to turn the unit off and then on again.

Well, I ended up getting a harness from CC. Unit is installed now......they actually gave me another unit (different serial #), eventhough they said they made some repairs on mine. This would explain all the dust particles inside of the detachable face. This face also has a bunch of light scrathes on it, and some white stuff in the grooves of the volume **** that also goes inside the face.....wtf? Man all this on top of me not getting my wiring harness back. I spoke with someone at Eclipse again....told them all that happended and that I am very dissapointed in getting a face that was not in comparable shape to the one I sent in, which was actually in very good condition, nothing like the one they sent me back....hopefully they will give me another nosepiece.....

You came to Boston Chinatown for a banquet and didn't even call any local members up.... that's wrong! Hope you have a better time on vacation than waiting for Rainbows.

I agree it's getting harder to find good customer service from companies out there.

haha better them have some flow of potential customers then have a dry business month.

if don(e) was local, i'd send people his way without hesistating. he's 1600 miles from me, yet took care of me...and yet this shop is a 15 minute drive and i got sh*t service.

Any chance of you getting the actual RA number? If not no biggie, just makes it easier.

Ah that stinks. I actually sent mine in for that very reason. Dust was accumulating under the face plate and was driving me crazy. United Radio did a fair job, getting most of it out, but unfortunately they didn't get it all. It isn't accumulating like it was before, but still. I wonder if this is something we can do? (take the face plate off and clean it ourselves) I'd like to, but I don't dare.

I was looking at it more today and it looks like very small pieces of lint too. I have taken them apart before, it's pretty easy to do. I just thought that this along with the fine and not so fine scratches all over the scree, and not getting my wiring harness back was a little too much.

I am getting another unit sent to a local dealer (the same one I had purchased my CD8455 from), and I will give him the one I have to return to Eclipse, so things are looking better. I just hope this next unit is close in condition to my original one.

I do have to say though...it's nice having the CD7000 back in the car .
