Bose bass upgrade in I30...
Because i can't afford to get a 45z, new componets and an amp at the same time to completely get rid of the bose i have decided to use some gear i already have to upgrade the current bose system. I know that i will need a line out convertor but i have two questions:
1. Where can i find a quality one cheap
2. What speaker wires should i tap into for the LOC?
Also, would using a line driver help the qaulity of the signal from the line out?
My only other cd player was a pioneer p6000, not exactly a sq deck, so im not looking for nak./eclipse quality voltage...I just want clean and as high as possible...
Also, just for my own reference, what is the size of the alternator in the maxima/i30? I know with only the single hifonics and 400 watts im fine for now but in the future i plan on doubling or tripling power...
So far i plan to use my hifonics amp (400x1)to power a single adire tempest in a 2.5^3 foot box. I was really happy to see that my car has a ski hole. My old car didn't have a ski hole plus it had a gas tank and firewall between the trunk and cabin which blocked some bass.
I think that this setup will sound decent...The bose speakers are not the greatest, but they certainly are not that bad...I hope that with the tempest i will be able to ease the bass burden off of the stock 6.5s" and clean and tighten the sound up a bit.
