Ok, I read some posts on the BIG 3. There's only one problem, I didn't see any detailed info on how to actually do it on a 5.5th gen or any 5th gen MAX. I saw that .ORG member "phenryiv1" did it but he only posted a couple of pics.

Oh yea, i have pics of my "cleaner install w\cap. I'll post them when i get a chance...

Well here are my new pics of a "cleaner install"...

http://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/4...0AbN3LNy3bt2IA

I've been told so many different things about what and how to do the complete installation and I took some advice from my fellow members, but I also went with some of the things that I already knew.
If there is anything that needs to be changed in order to protect my MAXIMA's electrical system please let me know. My next addition to this sound system will be a drycell battery, then on to a beefed up alternator!!!

Well whats with the BIG 3 then? What things will having a cap hide? Why does a cap put a strain on my electrical system? Why do they even sale caps if they don't work? I just want to know why before I do something that I have never heard of or even seen for the better part.

Any reputable amp has fully functioning and working caps, no need to add more crap to the path.

Why do they sell em? Thats easy ... Money. Its the biggest marketing hyped product in the 12V industry and makes dealers money everyday.

THANKS...
So does my MTX Thunderseries have that? Is money the same reason why my MTX has Cap +\- built into the amp to add a cap directly on the Amp?

Why does the cap do more harm than help?

Now the tough question, What is the BIG 3 & why should I do that instead?

Yes, All amps have internal caps. Does MTX offer aftermarket caps? Yes, theres your answer.

More draw and no benefit.

Easier powerflow than the standard cheap small OEM wiring.

O Thank U Audio Guru!!!
OK, we are moving along nicely here. Goodbye to the cap.
Now on to the BIG 3; I already have 4 Ga power and ground, what else do I need, and where do I put it? How exactly is this procedure done? What Kind of battery is recomended or how many CCA should be the minimal?

I sure do ask a whole lot of questions...
