sterio problem again

so i made a post earlier about a sterio problem and today i went out and re grounded the amps cuz my wires looked very bad and one of my friends said that was probably the cause of my sterio issues. well it did fix it but 2 other problems arose after i did.

1) my mono amplifier is in protect mode and i have clue why because before i grounded it it was fine( i added a seperate ground for each amp so could it be the ground is not good enough for the mono amp?)
2) i have a weird whine come from the speakers if the key is on acc or on even if the deck is off. i can hear the song but a small whine. also when i have the car running the whine is alot louder and goes up and down with the rev of the engine

also something else weird... when i unplugged all the rcas from the 4 channel amp the right side front speaker still had the minor whine in it
set up
all aftermarket speakers with 1 4 channel amp for the speakers and a mono amp for the subwoofer amp and subwoofer. i have 3 sets of rcas running from the deck ( 2 to the 4 channel, and 1 to the mono)

if anyone could help it would be very appreciated cuz i am lost without my music

If the whine is still there with the rca's not connected, i bet its that amp thats introducing the noise into the system.

which amp?

because the one that is in protect mode had nothing to do with the speakers only the subwoofer

is it the actual amp or the ground or power to it?

i just went out and changed the ground to the strut bolt in the rear. it now whines only in the on poition and while running but not in the acc position:S

Sounds like the amp, also strut bolt in the rear the area has to be sanded down pretty good to get a good ground. It makes me think the amp because no signal was going to it and it was still whining. Google "muting plugs" and try that method to be sure.

ok well i fixed my mono amp being in protect mode but i still have the loud whine

in the acc poition there is a small crackle
in the on poition -a steady whine
in key on engine running- a louder whine that raises with the rpm

now if i take the rca's out there is no noise. if i turn the gain up and down the noise also goes up and down. i tried running a ground straight o my battery and the problem still exists so its not my ground

posible problems i see are

bad rca's
bad amp
problem with the power wire( too close to rca's or speaker)

Gain up and down without the rca's connected, causes it to whine more?

Ok try it with the rca's disconnected.

Did you try re-grounding and consider replacing rca's?

with the rca's diconected no sound comes through with gain up or down

i was thinking of running a better set of rca's because the ones i bought are mediocre( not realy cheepos but not top of the line either). i also heard about grounding the rca's to the deck for pioneer units so im going to try thats tonight and if that doesnt work ill try new rca's.

also would anyone recomend using a rca filter. my buddy told me about those a while back when he had this problem with the exact same deck and sub but diff amp and speakers and it worked for him

if you had to ground your rcas to your deck then your deck is definitly bad. i cam across this problem before in an intergra and the guy bought a new head unit and it went away. no crackle and no whine. bu tsoon the rcas wont work at all
