Here is the start of my new baffles. I am going to cut the top ring at an angle to achieve my goals of improved imaging. We will see if it turns out. I don't have a stationary belt or disc snader so the edges are a little rough. I don't care b/c it will all be inder the door panel.
And, no, I will not post pics of my door panel until I make the grill. Basic black grill cloth mounted to the door panel.
That will be after finals though. Oh and the sub, 1 of 2 shipped today along with my new hoodie. I need to contact them and find out why they didn't send both. Pretty darn quick turn around for a custom built sub.

Oh and I was wrong, both subs shipped. Will be here next week some time. woot.

But I hope to have the mids and highs done Friday. The sails will be a PITA b/c O have to build them out and bondo. I will most likely use black vinyl as i have a little Kevin left.

I didn't get the inserts, I got hurricane nuts instead.. :-\ These can't be pulled since the baffle is already installed. I'll be careful with these so they don't come out.

Thread a bolt into it (with no ring) then pop it with a mallet. They will come out quite easily. Failing isnt the worst part, it is when they fail and the driver is mounted. They will just spin and there is no real way to remove them or the driver. For panels that have access on both sides theyre usually fine since you'll never be stranded.

and yes those kind of nuts and bolt sucks. we had to destroy this one box because the POS nut came out when we were swapping subs. there was no real way of taking out the sub when that crap happens. the bolt just kept spinning like don said.
so if you want to keep that box for long time, i'd try to find alternate mounting options.
