Cause clearly, unlike you, even when at home, I have work to do. And classwork. I have 3 screens on my desk right now, all are being used.

I have always wanted a multi screen setup to better utilize my comp when studying. Maybe when I grow up errr, I mean graduate, I will do just that.

It helps. A lot. If I'm writing a paper I'll have the document on one screen, research materials or the syllabus, or whatever other background materials on the other.

All it takes is a video card with two outputs, which you can get for $40 nowadays.

True. I only have the laptop right now though. No money left after audio for a nice desktop.

Build it yourself, it will be cheaper than a laptop.

I'm a nerd, I have the desktop with the dual screens, a work laptop and a personal laptop - an Asus EEE I use when I travel.

When it comes time to make it happen I would like to try. I just don't know if I have the patience to do it.

Do it over winter break. The actual build once I had everything took me ~35 minutes. Research and purchasing was done over a couple weeks.

I don't think I can do it right now. Although I would love to. We are looking at buying a new bed. We broke the old one. That will be a few grand. So the comp will have to wait for a bit. And it would take me more that 35mins, I garauntee that.

I'll allow this, for the reasons aforementioned.

Well done!

and thats the real reason for sound outside of a car...if they want your doors closed itgives you an adv. to having speakers outside the car. the louder the more chance you have of winning.
