I received the video, but won't watch it until I'm in the right state of mind (just got home from work - had a holiday dinner with the dept, with many many bottles of wine) I probably won't think it's ghey.
I let wifey watch it. She was glad it is blocked at work. I am interested to get your take on it.

i hate my kicks. there's a damn gap where my midranges are since the flange is flatter than the kick panels.

I can't tell you how long I spent smoothing the mounting flange. I would say atleast 30 mins.

Your flange appreciates the 30 mins you spent smoothing it out.

So I painted the baffles to see what they would look like. They look like the surface of the moon. Due to the complex angles on them I am not going to vinyl them. They will be hidden by the grill I am going to make, so I don't really mind. I had to make a back plate for inside the door. The way the baffles sits with the door on it is pretty low. So I am adding a back piece, inside the door 1/2" MDF resined, so I have something to mount too. I am so glad there is so much room iside these doors. This project would have failed long ago if this was a different car. And as promised, no pics until I get the grills made. I am going to work on the tweeter pods while the resin is drying.

Ok, so here is the baffle mounted with the driver in place.

I cut the pieces for the tweeters today as well. I can't wait to get those in and everything wired up. I really was hoping this would be faster, but oh well. I had an awesome day. Sat around in my garage drinking beer and cutting things up.

I R here. Wifey went to bed. So I can't watch topgear anymore. I like it too loud.

Anyone seen the new episode with the Ferrari 430 Scuderia. I seriously got wood every time Jeremy threw in a down shift.

I can't find a good desktop of the 430 though. Atleast one that doesn't look like a cartoon.

They attach directly to the stock sails and then I will form with bondo. I wanted to glass the mdf to the sail, but there is no room on the front of the sail to accomodate that. The a pillar intrudes a bit making that impossible.

A little more progress.

I found a small power steering leak at the base of the resevoir. I am going to drain it and see if it is a crack or what. Fix it if I can. I hope it is that simple.

sails look good chris

any of you alarm gurus know how the hood switch works? is it just a ground when the pin isn't pressed down? mine stopped working for some reason...

i'm gonna try to clean out the contacts to see if that will fix it. there's a lot of crap that built up onto the spade terminal.

ooh, ooh, I also found that the hose in the very front, next to the radiator is leaking. It is the AC line. The airbag light is still on as well as the ses light. I need to find someone that will clear these for me. I am going to replace the plugs tonight. Already did the oil change. I think I will leave the battery unplugged tonight and see if these lights reset after the change. I will keep my fingers crossed.

Gordo, yes, it's just a ground. At least, that's how the aftermarket ones work.
