Well i got the new Pioneer DEH-P9300 deck. This thing is off the hook. You can actually download screen savers online and put them on it. The EQ is accurate and makes sense. I stopped by this shop called Bay Car Stereo where my friend is getting his install done. I spoke to almost all the employee's (my friends) and saw thier systems. All of them, with the nice parts and cheap prices dont hit or sound like mine. One guy had a 1993 GXE with 3 12"JLW3's, PPI Amp, Pioneer DEH-P7200 deck and others. His Bass was less deep and quieter then mine. They all said that my bass/with my mids and highs is one of the cleanest and loudest they have heard with only 2 12"s. This one guy in a Civic hatchback had 3 10" JLW6's and his was nice. But not as clean as mine. Also, This guy told me to get a smaller amp but go with JL Audio. he said it will sound better then my RF 800a2 that i have no powering the JLW6's. Also, i got new speakers up front (MB Quart 6.5 inch) and those are sweet to. But i find it intresting and as a huge compliment that almost all of the shop workers were amazed with how clean and loud my system was. Like i said "I havent heard 2 12"s make that much bass...ever" Thats what he said. Let me know about some of your guys' setups and what you got hitting. From what ive seen, Obviously Matt93GXE HAD the best system overall in his max but i have seen a few very nice systems as well (MaineI30, SweetSound, and others i cant remember).

Unfortunatly, im getting rid of the max in the November area and getting either a Yukon Denali, or some other nice bigger SUV. First thing that goes in there is the pioneer 7" screen in the dash and tv's in the headrests (drivers and passangers). Also, im getting PS2 and a DVD system/changer installed right away. But best of all, ive decided not to go with 15's and im getting 4 12"JLW7's as well.

 

Wow I wish i had that kind of money to spend on my car...As of the moment, i'm deciding whether to get rims or a TV....It's a hard decision but I'm sure I'll love whatever I pick. Anyways, those 4 JLW7's will cost you a very pretty penny.


Once again....WHAT IS IT WITH JL AUDIO THAT EVERYONE'S SO OBSESSED ABOUT??...I understand the W7's cuz they're gonna be great and intimadating subs....but what's with the whole JL scene??

lol ive been wondering the same thing, but oh well people use what they know i do the same thing -but i stick with orion,mmats,illusion...signal processing with audiocontrol or precision power...and pioneer decks <3

I love them, for the fact that they go low. I also love my 2 15w6's in a sealed box with plexiglas back, because I got them all for $700. I did listen to a lot of other speakers, and the speakers that sounded better, cost way more. And last but not least, I pound out song after song after song. That's my obsession.

P.S. - I'm getting the Xtant 1000 watt amp for the subs. That will be an interesting ride.
