Rattling in the rear deck
#1
Hi,
I've taken my 97 Maxima Se apart so many times changing speakers and set-ups. In the end I'm left with a Panasonic MXE Dfx-99 (which requires an external amp) in the front door sony tweeters, X-overs, and Rockford Fosgate Fanatic Q speakers (which put out the most bass I've ever heard from a 6.75 speaker.) in the rear I have infintiy kappa 652.1i and are all powered by a USAcoustics 5040 amp. I'm using a dual amp kit and relocated the amp in the trunk behind my strut bar. I periodicaly run into major engine noise when I hook up my Boss three-way crossover, but my main concern is the back deck. I think the Infinity Kappas produce enough bass to distort the back deck causing it to rattle the whole back. I thought of Dynamat, and heard of an acoustic mastic that cost 1/8 of the price from a maxima link. Has anyone else had this problem? What did you do?
Thanks,
-Kev
