I'm interested in what headunit I should get. I really like the new Pioneer line (e.g. DEH-P####) since they can play MP3 files on a CD-R. I don't have any big plans to put a DVD/home theater in my car, but I'd like a headunit that is flexible without being complicated to use. Price is a concern also and I probably should stay under $400 to check the 'wife' factor.

Suggestions on brand, features, and the best online/retail places to shop would be greatly appreciated. I'm in the NJ area FWIW.

From: Portland, OR
Look at the Kenwood KDCMP8017 www.kenwoodusa.com
or the Sony CDXMP450X at www.sony.com
Let me know if there is a Tweeter store near you...I can cut you a deal on any of the MP3 players for your ride...let me know which one you like.

I would try ebay...they constantly have the Pioneer DEH-P7300 advertised for $259...that's not a bad head unit.

Only bad thing about that unit is it doesn't have a seperate subwoofer output.
