bazooka self amped tube? good? bad? ok? thinking about picking one up, and I really doesn't want to go through the trouble of putting in an amp and box... what is you guys' opinion on it.. thanks

The bass is crappy, you don't get the "thump" of a really subwoofer. Putting in an amp and box isn't really that difficult (not at all)...You're going to have to run a power cable to the battery and speaker cable for the tube anyways...It's no different then running the wires for a regular amp.
