Hehe...started at 10am this morning and finished at about 5pm. Took breaks in between. I applied two layers of Raam mat all over the entire roof, stuffed all empty cavities with carpet padding and closed the holes with raam mat as well. I haven't driven the car yet but once I take it on the freeway I'll post my opinion. This is not a hard task to do, the only thing that is somewhat hard is pulling the headliner out of the car and not breaking it. I took my passenger seat out to do it. The carpet that you see on the roof is the factory carpet that was there. When I removed the liner it was just laying on top of it. Nissan's build quality
Now it's turn for WhiteMax, Turd Ferguson and JMAX to do this.

Damnit! More work and as little or less time than I had for the rest of my "project". I knew I should have done it a year ago but it's been so easy to put off. And now that I don't have any more 2DHD viscoelastic to kill the rumbling. Means I need to order another shop pack. Don't worry, I will use some of the aluminum foil with viscoelastic adhesive, I call it roof flashing instead of Raammat. But it will go on after at least a layer of the Cascade.

Looks real good, didn't realize you didn't have a hole in your roof. Mine may end up louder due to the hole in my roof, but that's the price I pay for the Vitamin D sunshine provides.

Hehe, Damn you Anton! Now I have to try and keep up with you and do my roof now.

Looks like a great job. Please let us know how much of a difference it makes.

Ok. Here are the initial impressions after driving the car.
Overall the car is definately quieter. I can't say how much, but it's noticeable and yet not a huge difference. I can't wait until I do my wheel wells and reinstall my GXE suspension which was quieter than my SE one. Also, there is less wind noise when driving on the highway. I'd say go for it as it will take about half a day and $30 worth of materials. I was hoping I would get much more significant results but oh well, I was the guinea pig.

could you list these materials that you used for $30??? and where you got them??

hell i'll do it if all the materials cost was that. i could use a little quieter cabin as i too have a hole in my roof. i wonder if it'll be harder with the sunroof and the controls.
