At one point me and my installer talked about doing it. 6.8 is to big for our visors...5.8 would work they need to be tft's.

the reason it don't quite fit is cuz the part left around the screen is gonna be very small and therefor not hold the screen very tight...it will be flimsy. What you could do is just get a slightly larger visor. Replacment visers in general cost about 200 bucks per pair.

Is there anyway to get a screen (and what size screen) plus a HU in the Double Din area of the current (5th gen) radio? I was thinking about installing a DVD system, but wanted a permanent screen. I would probably have to make a custom faceplate too though and wiring a car w/Bose would definitely be another problem.

Eclipse has an tv screen/cd player/tapeplayer all in one that is what I would say you should go for. Last I knew It retailed for just under 2g's. Other opotions are to mount the screen where the factory headunit is and then mount another headunit say in the glovebox or get a changer put it in the glove or trunk.
