mbquart..or a 3way focal poly kev set...there real real nice you could put the 6 in the door 4 in the kick and tweet in the piller and it would be fabolus. They play real low and for what you get there worth the price i think the 3 way set goes for like 600 somthing like that.

How do you like the 3 way mb quart components??? I saw them on buyloud.com for 399 and i was just picturing them in my car along with my boston acoustics in the back.. all powered by a 80 x 4 rms ppi amp... Think it would so good?? of course i would get a new head too. Im thinking of a jvc with the mp3 player. It has a volume **** and 4v pre outs...

the referenz premium 3 ways are nice. I think you would be very happy with them and they should work well with that amp and blend in well with the boston subs. I think no matter which way you go (focal or quart) your going to be happy. The diff between quart and focal go like this...quart is a little more punchy in the midbass than focal and quart has a slighty sharper tweeter than focal...what this translates to is you will need to turn up the midbass on the focals and turn down the highs on the quarts...either way you have to do the opitsite of the other speaker but they both balance very well. But yeah i say go for the quarts if thats what your looking at.

I would say though to look at another head unit jvc's arn't good and tend to put out alot of static on the radio and noise off of cd's. That 4 volt preout when tested was more like 1.2 volts...so i say look at another head unit.

But overall looks like you should be happy with your setup.

What do you mean you where looking at the digifine line...mb quart doesn't have a digifine line.

Mix matching componets is not somthing I like...so imo i woun't mix and match though alot of people do it that don't compete so thats up to you. But i say if you got bostons get more bostons if you want quart then go all quart.
Jl subs are a little boomy for my taste but they sould work fine.

Black, check out a/d/s, Diamond, or JL Audio's Evolution Series (XR-653, to be exact).
