System Problems..

Today I got my car back from a local audio shop. I got two 12" eclipse entry lvl subs and an eclipse amp. When I first got it, I put the volume up a little and it sounded stock, so my friend raised it up a little higher. I asked the owner what was wrong and he said that his friend would tune the amp up. When I drove to this new area, I kept hearing this nasty BRRRRR sound and it kind of sounds like the sub blew out. I'm going tomorrow to see what really wrong. The owner said eclipse has a 2 year warranty on its sub and amp and I was wondering, if my sub really did blow out, would it be replaced for free? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Re: System Problems..

yo...check the set up of the system. make sure the polarity (positive and negative wires) is correct. also, look at the amp to see whether or not the crossover or filter is adjusted correctly(if there's one on it)

check also the grounding, and whether the actual speakers are hooked up right. check also if the wires used are strong enough.

the only thing that would make that sound is if it where blown or if there is a loose rca or bad rca.
