97 Bose Head Unit

Does the 97' Bose Head unit have a pre-amp output for an aftermarket amp? B/c my old car didnt and when i hooked the amp to the back speakers, the speakers blew. So I dont want to blow the Bose Speakers.

Yes and no. It uses balanced line outputs (which are of preamp level), and you can just splice into from the rear of the headunit. You gotta have an EQ or something that can accept balanced lines. My AudioControl EQX units did this fine, however, keep in mind that the Bose headunit WILL NOT give you a flat output. The bass is exageratted like crazy and they toyed with the treble as well. Just go with an aftermarket unit.
