Ok so I got them Don like 2 weeks ago or so. I installed them, the install went fine over all. Until I turned the car on, to find out only the passenger side tweeter was working. So I took off the driver side tweeter and connected it to the passenger side crossover. It worked just fine. So now I know the tweeter works. I talked to Don and I shipped him back the crossover that doesn't work and he shipped me a brand new one. I installed that on the drivers side and the same thing happened. So I was figuring it had to be something with my wiring. I double checked everything and then I thought it would be wise to connect the passenger side crossover that works to the drivers side, and it does. So now I know it can't be the wiring right? So I connect the new crossover that Don sent me to the passenger side and I only get the mids to play, no highs from the tweeter. I have it wired the same way as the drivers side door which is now working....
Not sure what to look at to fix this? Seeing that this is my first set of components... I know I set them up properly and everything...
Does Anyone have any ideas......
It's weird driving around with only one side working correctly and the other side you can't hear ****...
My system system specs are as follows
HU- Apline 9827
Component Amp - Alpine 250F (or something like that)

Is it possible that the crossover could be grounding out on the tweeter side somewhere? Or the tweeter itself? Are you connecting the tweet directly to the crossover? Using any wire to extend it? Are all your crimps solid?
What headunit are you using? If you are using the oem unit and running the spaekers off an amp, how are you getting your signal? If you are using an aftermarket deck are you sure you don't have a low pass filter set on a rear or front channel output and have that output going to the amp? Are you running an amp to the slc's? Are your filters on on the amp?

HU is Apline 9827. It has 3 preamps in the back. One for Subs, Front Stage, and Rear Stage. 99% sure my HU doesn't have a low pass filter on it. Yes I am running an amp : http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Produ...0&i=500MRPF250
Yes the amp has filters on it. Yes they are all set to high pass....
i guarentee its either the rcas, or you have the speaker lead grounded up against the chassis of the amp. you should be using spade connectors on your amp and the crossover.....................
But the weird thing is that when I remove say the white rca from the side that doesn't work I do notice a difference in the sounds... Like there are no highs playing. But all the sound is coming outta the mids...
I am almost sure there is no switch. I should be able to check it out tomorrow.
Actually, to be honest with you, I haven't checked back there yet. I talked to a few people and they told me if your getting sound, it should be working just fine.
Yes they are both set to HPF... ( I tried low pass and got no sound)

No, because I have a sub already hooked up to that output on the HU.... I think I may try hooking it up to the rear stage output...Maybe something is wrong with my front out put...
And it shouldn't make a difference if the wires for the stock speakers are still pluged into to amp on the HU does it?
Ill try new stuff on Wed...
