iPhone
So, has any anyone picked up and iPhone recently and also got a cool car adapter/holder for our cars? I've been checking out a few from a few places but wanted to see if anyone else had anything yet. Something clean looking. Pics if you got 'em.

what doesn't it do?

Yup. I sometimes say NO on putting it into airplane mode, and it will play my music fine for 30 minutes or so. Then it will go homo on me and stop the song and ask me again to go into airplane mode. weird.

Yeah homo is the right word to describe this situation..
BTW..the iphone is using the latest firmware.

I appreciate the responses but maybe I wasn't clear enough. I actually meant the holder for the iPhone, anyone purchase anything specificaly that mounts in an 07 Max to HOLD the iphone. No attitude, just following up with more info is all. Something like this http://www.arkon.com/phonemount.php

We'll see how well it goes. I'm going to try to place it somewhere behind the shifter. I didn't go with one of the Arkon mounts because I want something fairly slim that I can still swivel to go into landscape mode (coverflow ftw!).

I played around with one of those iPod speaker stations thing and put the iPhone on it to see if it would play my songs though it and it went into airplane mode as well. But when I manually went to turned off airplane mode and it kept playing fine. It also played the ringtone though the speakers so maybe that would work for your receiver.

I just picked up an iphone and wondered if it would work like my touch has. Apparently no? That being the case, I may try to find a way to mount my touch in a more permanent way and just use it in the Max. Maybe pick up a USASPEC kit?

I don't have an iPhone or any other crap that Apple makes...I have a personality, and am not a robot to mass advertising.

On a more relevant note, you might try checking iLounge. They review a ton of ipod/iPhone related accessories and you might see something that will work for you.

I don't own any portable media device--they're not necessary. It's supposed to a phone for crying out loud--meaning you use it to talk to people (what's next, one that jerks you off?). But the real shame isn't that people buy these players--it's that every time there's something new, they "have" to have it, even when the one they had works just fine.

Wow. Forgot about this thread. I went in a completely different direction with my iPhone and couldn't be happier with how I have it set up.
I went with a Pioneer FH-P8000BT head unit, a ProClip mount with cable attachment, and a Kuda leather base.

Might seem drastic, but I was looking to change my HU again anyway and it worked out for me. The HU has built-in bluetooth and comes with a wired mic, so now I have in-car handsfree calling. The HU also has pretty good iPod controls that work perfectly with the iPhone. Additionally, the HU has a USB port, so basically I have a Griffin powerjolt USB cable attached to the Proclip mount that is automatically connected to the iPhone when I slide the iPhone in the mount. The other end of the powerjolt cable (that usually connects to a cigarette lighter charger) is plugged into the USB port in the back of the HU, so it charges the iPhone AND provides an audio connection to the HU and the rest of the car's stereo over USB. I can control some functions on the phone with my steering wheel controls, control playlists on the phone or the HU, upload the phonebook to the HU, etc.
