Need helping ID'ing plugs used for an aftermarket HU

I had a Sony headunit installed when I bought my Maxima, but it got stolen. So now i'm in the process of looking for a new headunit but I'm not sure what the these 2 plugs are. So can someone help me ID the big plug and the little one (the first 2 pictures) thats being held? What else do I need to hook up an aftermarket HU?

Also, with the stolen HU, the installer did not hook up the subwoofer and there was NO BASS at all. Is there a way to hook up the BOSE subwoofer to the new headunit?

The first one ... steering/trip controls.

The second ... looks like most likely an 'adaptor' for former radio. Of less likely - IS the former radios harness.

+1 for post #2.

For subs, use the pre-out of your HU. Just add amps and subs. You are GTG.

If you do the wiring correctly, ALL bose speakers should work with your aftermarket HU. Bose speakers 2k2+2k3 will work with aftermarket HU's.

the subwoofer doesnt work because the previous installer had cut the AMP wiring but all the other speakers work even with the amp plug disconnected from the amp. If I reconnect all the wiring, will the subwoofer work again?

here are the pictures from what it looks like right now

Yikes, that's nasty! I agree, no telling what the original "installer" murdered during the process... Let us know how it turns out!

Looks pretty nasty. You should take your time using butt connectors. Match the wires and it SHOULD work. I purchased these from Walmart and they worked well.

If it works out, wrap with electrical tape.

So I finally got around to it and everything works!

I just reconnected the wires together and everything works perfectly. The only problem that I had was that the plug almost didnt reach the amp since I had to cut it then connect them back togeter but I just unmounted the wiring from the parts it was connect to in the trunk.
