i have the fi bl, but didn't get to install it yet b/c i'm still waiting for my friend to finish my enclosure.

they seem to be all the rave on car audio forums, but i've never heard anyone speak about them here.

I've got a Fi Q 15" It's very nice for the price!

Wanted a SQL setup and it works! Definitely something you need to hear in person.

The BL was introduced to be a mix of the Q and the BTL. Although the BTL does sound decent it is meant to be an SPL sub through and through. If you are a bass head and are using a trunk car and don't want to spend gobs of cash on gobs of power, the BL is a great choice. I personally went with a pair of Q 12"s. They get plenty loud for me. Much louder than my TDX's did. Unless I go straight SQ or SPL, which I won't, this may be the last sub I buy. I have met Scott, he is an awesome guy, wicked smart, electrical engineer type. He was the mind behind the designs of almost all of the RE subs while he was there.

The reason people here don't talk about them much is they are an internet only company, so those that don't troll audio only forums may miss them completely. Most of the discussions here are geared toward more common mainstream equipment, with the exception of most of the brand Don sells.

I have posted a thread about mine and 2 others over the past year. I am also the person who provided the in depth review on SSA in the Fi forum.

If you have any questions, I will be glad to help.

I still plan on giving the FI Q a shot. Scott is a very nice guy, he took the time to answer several of my questions a while back.

Definitely both levels. I wish I knew as much as he did, just don't have the time right now.

I am willing to bet he will make a video of you and be happy to show it too you as well. You could become famous.

In the right box, it will amaze. The accuracy while ported is what still gets me.

You don't have enough air space to do 2 15"s without glassing. Even sealed they would be choked out.

I think he could do it if he got rid of the back seat lol they'd fit there. Then he would have..."ridiculous bass" for a Maxy...though I think you'd hear it rattle for the most part lol.

Even after all the sound deadening mine still rattles, which I'll be trying to take care of today.

Yep. I have done the calculations, it is possible, again with glassing, to get the required air space. To capture the available output the subs would need to be fired forward into the cabin and the trunk sealed of from the cabin. There are a ton of other issues to deal with when considering that type of installation though. I am by no way trying to tell someone else what to do, just stating my experience.

I know how you feel about the rattles. I have over 240+ sq ft of deadener and this car just develops new rattles all the time. I gave up.

With my system turned up, you wouldn't have known that I have a system unless my windows were rolled down.

I have interior rattle. It's my brake light on top of the rear deck lol it's an easy fix I just haven't gotten to it yet. When certain bass notes hit the plastic housing for the brake light is rattling against the window. I believe from me using a lot of overkill pro sheets under there lol.

But you don't notice the bass unless I roll my windows down which is a good thing. That means all the sound is inside where you want it.

My poor trunk jumps around like a sprayed roach when I turn it up. After 4 layers of deadener, still bucks like crazy.

I have set off alarms of cars in the street from inside my garage, with the windows up.

I am lucky I don't have that 3rd brake light. It would surely be broken by now if I did. Along with my 8th rear view mirror, various screws I find, and the visors, I see it getting worse as time goes on. Oh well, it continues.....

Almost forgot, the switch to my sunroof and the light have stopped working as well. That part of the roof/windshield seem to flex quite a bit.

That is very very scary I would need to listen to your system. I'd be afraid that my hair would stand on end though

If I knew someone with a camera capable of taking video and capturing the flex I would. It can be pretty violent inside though. I can only imagine how much louder it would be if I wasn't losing pressure due to the flex. I demo it for people all the time, they all insist that I show them what is in the trunk, no one believes it is just a pair of 12"s.

Yeah, I saw your original thread and posted there and again after you posted your review. What amp do you have on the Q?

Solid Audio F11D they don't make em anymore I don't think.

It hits harder now after I actually set the amp instead of using the HU to set the bass.
