quick electrical question

quick electrical question

ok i forgot how to do this... it's been a while

what's the formula to figure out what resistor i need to
drop 12 volts down to... i dunno, we'll say 6 volts?

any help would be great thanks

well u need atleast two loads to drop something to a certain voltage if not one load will take up all the voltage...

r=v/i
i=v/r
p=v*i

you talking about a voltage divider circuit?

you could also try to find a voltage regulator but those usually dont handle enough current for car applications
