Veil with Blinder and Bel STI radar/laser system
http://forums.maxima.org/showthread....17#post6144017
Above is my recent success story post with my new Veil, Bel STI and Blinder system. Below are facts about Veil since I searched and couldn't find any.I thought it deserved at least a mention, in case people were wondering about it's effectiveness. I realize Veil is not an electronic, but since all other anti-detetection items are I put it in here with them.
Veil Facts:
There is pretty conclusive 3rd party test data out there from various testors, Radar Roy, Guys of Lidar, etc..., and numerous "test" videos on Youtube, showing Veil does reduce laser range, I think the product is worth the $89.
If you're wondering, I used 4 coats on each lamp covering, and it took about 2 hours to headlights, taillights, and fogs. Plus, 1/2 day to dry. I've had it on for over a month now and haven't noticed any fading of the coating yet.
It supposedly lasts about 6 months. But I added a top coat of automotive grade clear coat, so I expect even longer life. Either way, there is enough in the can to do my car maybe up to 10 times, over 5 years (if it lasts 6 months).
I do notice my HIDs are maybe 20% dimmer, but HIDs are brighter than normal lights anyway, so I figure I'm back to noral headlight brightness. Plus, if you put on fewer coats, this loss would be significantly lessened.
That's about it. Here are some informative links.

Just wanted to give an update. Since my original post I have hit 3 more laser traps, all at 15-25MPH over, and walked through all 3. My latest was just 20 minutes ago. I'm still geeking about it. 88 in a 70.

Veil raises the jammers to near or at 100% jam. Veil is definitely a necessary addition to a jammer, especially at closer ranges (<800ft.) where a lot of jammers have a punch-through area. I got hit at about 300ft., coming around a corner, 1 month ago, and would have been toast w/out the Veil.
And don't think of Veil like paint... more like liquid tint. Miy lights and plate cover just look smoke tinted. I think it is actually attractive to have darkened lights and plate cover.
