Non-functional volume control of Bose stereo on '98 GLE

Anyone having the same problem??

What do you mean by "non-functional"? Does it not work at all? I know in my 97 on the Bose, I would have to turn it pretty slow for it to work becuase of some saftey feature, or atleast thats what the dealer calls it.
