Congrats!

I like them a lot, and they are not even broken in yet. Very smooth sounding speakers. I have to say that I was a little surprised by how much midbass they produced at this point....nice surprise.

Yes paper coned ftw . I had planned on keeping the Germs for our other car, but will probably be selling them to my sister's boyfriend. This way I can have an excuse to get some Profi Kicks the next time around .

Still going back and forth on this.... this was what I wanted to do when I was thinking of getting this set.

I am still not sure if I want to get rid of rear speakers or not. My youngest daughter actually complains when they are not on. By the way she helped me out with the install yesterday . It was funny to see this little 6 year old carrying around the door skin. I heard someting as I was working on the passenger door, and looked to the left side of the car and she said here daddy I want to help. I let her put in some of the screws in the doors too.

I thought about running another amp for the rears, but I do not want to take this route. Besides, if I go active I plan on using the time alignment feature, so this would eliminate the use of rear speakers as all my outputs would be tied up with the front drivers. This set sounds very nice with the passives. I have it on the reference option which is set up for A/B-pillar tweeter installs.

Decision, decisions.........
