Need some advice
What's going on guys? I'm running a Pioneer Premier P8MP, Arc Audio Foose components powered by an alphasonik amplifier. The back speakers are still stock. There is this very annoying thing that happens when I play one song. Van Halen's "Why can't this be love". It sounds as though something is blown in the front like a feint rattling in the beginning of the song. I need some input on where it might be coming from. Could it be bad speakers, bad amplifier setup, bad HU setup, or just a bad amp to begin with. Maybe I need to dampen the door? It only happens on one song, and every other cd has no problem. It's very annoying. Any suggestions, advice, input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
What about you guys with the "high dollar" systems? Do you guys get that one song every once in a while? I was thinking maybe its the plastic behind the door panels flapping around, but I dunno.
Or it's the only song the OP has that has that exact frequency that makes the plastic rattle. I have a song like that too, same place every time. It's definitely the song because I tried different bitrates, original vs mp3, etc etc.
I ripped it from my cd in 192k or whatever it is. I wanted to rip my whole cd collection and hide the cd's because my kid likes destroying them (taking them out of the jewel cases and throwing them...lol). Since I don't know too much about the slopes and crossover rates I figured maybe it was one of those settings. Thanks for all your responses guys. But yeah, its only that one song and the beginning of that song only.

OK, I'll have to try that. I just moved the option to 192, didn't go into the options to turn on the vbr (on itunes 7). Does the vbr make alot of difference?
I would vote for the song, as well as not be surprised if ya still find a few more with similar 'issues'. It happens ... unfortunate, but it happens.
As yes I get it as well with one of those 'high dollar' systems.

most likely the cd not your speakers.
i hava a quick question tho.....do you think the stock head unit in my 2000 maxima will support my infinty 10" sub & amp? or will i have to put in an upgraded head unit? the stock one is NOT bose if it would make a difference
thanks.

That's kind of a stupid question. If you read the stickies, you'll see that it's not a matter of 'support.' The Bose HU will provide SIGNAL for your amp without an issue. The QUALITY of the sound will be much better if you upgrade the HU, but many people are fine with leaving their stock Bose HU as well.
Edit, the vibrations are getting louder now, and happening with a couple of more songs. I'm beginning to suspect the plastic is slapping against the speakers or the speakers are vibrating something that shouldn't.
