need advice on vafc wiring harness
If any of you are familiar with the vafc set up there are these TINY wires coming out of the vafc itself that go into a harness and on the other side of the harness the wires come out at a normal 18/20 gauge. When I bought my VAFC the previous owner had completely cut off the harness and wired into his ecu using the little TINY wires. I wanted to be able to disconnect my vafc so I soldered on a harness from an older SAFC unit. The problem is that the pins inside the connectors come out very easily and are not in there very tight. I dont feel safe with the pins so loose and i feel like that is too much of a weak link.
I have no problem replacing it with some generic harness but I cant seem to find one. Another problem is that the wires are so tiny on one side the harness would have to accommodate the tiny wires on that side and have normal on the other.
anyone have ANY advice? I dont feel right connecting these tiny wires with male/female connectors to the larger wires to get rid of the harness.
thanks
