noob question, plz help if you know about self pwred subs.

whats up guys. i have an infinity basslink i bouhgt about 3 years ago.. it works great for what i need it for, extra bass on rock. it has a 200w d class amp, i believe infinty uses a 10inch servo controlled (whatever that means) Perfect series woofer, and it has a 10inch resonator(whatever that is). anyway, the other day i was cruising along, and hear 2 loud thumps, then the thing went out. i checked the 20a fuse and it was blown.

i got to autozone, replaced the fuse. tried to bump some linkin park, and the basslink is still dead. The amp powers up cause the little power light is on. There is a little green servo light that lets me know when the amp/sub is maxed out. its lighting up all the time.. after about 20 mins of playing music with no bass output, the basslink dies again b/c another 20a fuse just blew.

anyone know whats wrong with it and think its fixable. i emailed infinty support but they just say they dont recommending tryign to fix it. they says take it to an authorized repair shop insted.

probably better off buying a used single 12 and amp vs getting it fixed. good luck.

This is what happened to my BassLink...I had it under warranty so I was able to get a replacement, but apparently that's all they could do.

watch outman.. usually warranty replacement items are refurbs. extend your warranty if its a reasonable price.
