Double DIN
Double DIN
I have done my research.
I am pretty sure that if i wanted to add a:
http://www.amazon.com/Kenwood-DNX710.../dp/B000NWZPTQ
to a Bose system in a 2000 SE, I would need something like this
http://www.courtesyparts.com/Merchan...de=68750-VENTC
Plus many other things (i.e. replacement speakers, lots of time and wiring)
My questions to you all are:
-Am I missing something?
-Will everything fit right?
and
Is there a cheaper source for the vent assembly?
TIA
akap

I had to buy the GXE kit as well.. that thing is damn expensive... but it fits very nicely though I still have a gap at the bottom of my new HU (which I plan on fixinf with weatherstripping).
I think you covered it all if you are planning to strip out the Bose system. I left the amp + speakers and only replaced the HU and it was already a HUGE difference... I also have the 2K Bose system.

i have a 98 and i have a pioneer D2 double din, with no gap at all, and my friend has a 02 with double din also, no gap, and he didnt buy anything extra, jus the radio, and we put it in. only problem he has is the because of the design of the gen 5 dash (the slope design), u kinda need a radio with the tilt forward feature so u can view it better. other than that, it works great.
that PAC adapter is for an upgraded HU with stock Bose speakers correct?? plug and play?
What is needed to keep the steering wheel controls operable also??
