Need help picking an amp.

I need a 2 channel amp to power my front 6.5 eclipse point source. I am thinking something around a 200 watt amp. I would like something that gives good sound quality, and is reliable. I am on a budget so as cheap as possible without serious comprimise would be helpful.

Thanks

Thats right in my price range, but I only need a 2 channel. Price is really dependent on the amp, right now I have a RF 200 a4 but it doesn't have the quality I want.

I would like to go with a little more power closer to 100X2 rms.

I have the Point Source as well and only running 75X4 JL amp and the amp is barely cranked up. The speakers only handle 50 watts rms. Why do you want so much power? The Eclipse Point Source are pretty effecient...

A friend how works at the store where I got the pnt sources tod me I should run higher, or I won't get the sound I want. So you think 40 a side is enough? I guess I could go with the MRPT130. Since my rear speakers (nakamichi) are running off the headunit.

I would actually run both your Nakamichi's and your Eclipse's off a 4 channel amp instead...40 watts is good power for the Point Source.

Thanks for all the help, I ordered the mrpf200, for 149, and will power all 4 speakers. This was a lot less than I had expected to spend. You saved me a bundle.

id be careful on what you feed those speakers. I just recently took them out of my car cause they cannot handle high power well at all! a solid 50x2 rms amp would be more than enough for them!

goodluck

You got Nakamichi speakers too? What kind do you have? Coaxials or components? What do you think of them?

They are the components. They sound great, but they don't hold up to well. I pulled the front set because they went bad on me. All it took was the change in humidity from houston to denver to kill them
