Wiring Front Speakers on 4th gen

The wiring on my front speakers is different. One side has brown wires, with one of the wires having a white line on it, so those are easy to tell which is negative and which is positive. However, my driver side has two blue wires, one has a white stripe going down it and the other has a yellow stripe going down it. So which one is negative?

I tried hooking up my replacement speakers and seeing if the speaker was moving in as opposed to out which would tell me if the wires were reversed but to be honest with you I can't tell the difference looking at it nor can I tell listening to it. I think eventually I went with the yellow striped blue wire being negative but I'd like to know for sure.

Any ideas on how to know for sure?

I'm guessing you have a non-bose system. If so...

Front LH Side:
L/W = +
L/Y = -

Front RH Side:
BR = +
BR/W = -

I think you got it right choosing the one with the yellow stripe to be negative.

Yeah it's a non-bose system. Thanks for confirming the speakers are hooked up right, that's a load off my mind.

Even if it only takes three screws to take the door panel off that's still 10 minutes to re-wire and everything that I wasn't looking forward to ;-)

Lazyness haha... If it was wired incorrectly you'd have no midbass/bass output from them.
