Looking for alittle bit more Bass

Hey guys, I have an 04 max 3.5SL with bose system but no navigation. Im looking to get a little more bass but i don't want to to a whole make over. So im wondering what do i have to change so here are some questions.

1)Can i keep my bose speakers?
2)If there is a stock sub which i think im not sure there is what size is it? and can i get it replaced with a sub same size?
3)Would I need to purchase an amp

Not if you doing a sub in a box in the trunk. Doesnt matter. Just be using a hi/low converter. Although I thought I heard something maybe about rca outputs with the bose. Dont know though.

actually there are 2 subs. the 2 8" rear deck speakers are subs.

just wire an amp and 10" in a box and your golden. i'm running an Arc (Foose) 10" and love it.

an 8" sub in a tiny enclosure will augment the bass response that you have now, and will not take up much trunk space at all. our 6th gen trunks are fairly large, and the enclosure for a 8" will have a small footprint. yes, you'll need to purchase an amp and all the necessary wiring to make it work.

just add a 2 12''s in a small box. should run around 4-500. for instance two type Rs in a prefab box should be about 300. throw on an amp for 150 and a wiring kit and you'll have all the bass you could ask for...

each type R can take 500 watt +, please show me this amp for $150?

Stick with a single sub, small enclosure and a matching amp. You'll enjoy the low's and trunk space too.

Just for comparison - my last setup was 2 12" RF subs in a prefab Audiobahn box with an old 800watt RF amp. Compared with my current setup (1 12" type R, custom box, DLS amp) it sounded muddy, distorted, was heavy and took up most of the trunk.
