Ok, i'm confused. I've tried to look through the sites and sort it out, but apparently teh interwebs>me

I'd like a 2 way set of components for the front. So I'm guessing that I'd get the SLCs, but I want to confirm or ask a few things:
1. Mid/bass is 6.5" and can be mounted in the stock position w/out modification
2. How much power can they take?
3. Tweeters can be mounted in the stock position
4. Do these come with crossovers?
5. What are the extra materials needed to install?

Sorry for the laundry list, but if I'm gonna spend $160, I wanna make sure I know what I'm getting!

1. Correct, but with very little. An MDF ring (MDF and a jigsaw is enough) would be ideal.
2. Anything above 80 per would work perfectly.
3. Yes
4. Yes
5. Speaker wire and see number 1.

LoL not a problem, although hell my tweeters cost about 6 times that !

Awesome, thanks for the quick answers.

Just curious, what does the MDF Ring do?

It spaces the midbass away from the door like the OEM plastic does. This gives plenty of space to mount the drivers and does not resonate like plastic/ABS does.

Thanks man.

I just realized that I only have a 2 channel amp and I need to power my sub, so would SLCs be ok to run off my headunit?

They would technically work, but with any component system I strongly recommend using an external amplifier.

Thanks.

I honestly see no reason why they would not. Should be a fairly easy and straight forward install.

Can you post up a link to the specs on these?

What's the difference in the regulars and the Kicks?

Whats the difference between the SLCs and the CMXs?

I need new rears for the C5 anyway.

I think the SLC kicks deliver more kick bass than the regular SLC's. That's what I got out of this .pdf.

Hey Mr. Don.... I only have a CC to pay with...will that be a problem?

I've been sending out tons of USPS money orders for all my Mr2 parts... would that work for you too?

*shrug*

I can mail you cash wrapped in a Chinese restaurant's take out menu. Lol.

Could you also move me to the SLC Kick category? I auditioned the CMX and I think i'll prefer the silky nature of the SLCs. My last favorite tweeters were Kicker resolution Nd25s.

Just copy a post from above and change your selection, the list isn't magic.

Also, yeah, someone fill that 10th spot!

Ok, I'm new to the whole Rainbow audio thing, and was wondering which speaker is better between the CMX kicks and SLC Kicks. I put down for the CMX but I've heard neither so I was just wondering. What r your opinions?

CMX is metal cone/hard dome tweet whereas the SLCs are paper cone/soft dome tweet. The CMX is classified superior, but it's technically subjective and at a various price point.

Just to put this out there as well.. the CMX utilizes the infamous Rainbow CAL25 tweet, which is actually a superior tweeter. Although it is as stated above a hard dome (metal). This does Not however reflect it to be 'harsh' or 'bright'. It is a very detailed and quite highly regarded tweeter. Just wanted to note this so no one is scared away thinking that it may be too overwhelming.

Thanx Don. I was afraid that it would be too harsh for my liking. Thanx for clearing that up.
