Yay Box dimensions

so i finally figured it out

H=19inches
W=13 inches
D=20 inches
1 inch MDF
Divided by 1728 gives me
1.948 cubic ft
my sub needs 1.95,
this small variance wont harm it will it ?
port is 4inch x 11.25 inch
should be 35hz tuned

Please correct me if iam wrong.

You need to account for the subs actual displacement as well as subtract the volume of the port to know the usable internal air space.

ugggggg i did not even think of that, can you give me some help?

my specs tell me this from the audiobahn site
Air Space (Cu.Ft.) 1.95
Port Size(inches) 4 x 11.25
Port Vel. (%) 13.33
-3dB (Hz) 12.06
Tune Freq. (Hz) 35
Sub Disp (Cu.Ft.) 0.4
Port Disp (Cu.Ft>) 0.093
Total Vol (Cu.Ft.) 2.5

With those specs, can someone give me the dimensions i would need to build the perfect box for this sub?
Extreme Thanks in advance.

Or give me something that can make it even better
here is the link for my specific sub
http://www.audiobahn.com/Audiobahn06...ortal_subs.pdf
its the middle model wich i included up top , awes12

not my design, but a buddy of mine. i was going to draw one up, but remembered he had a few of his uploaded.

it's not entirely that big. it should fit without any issues. i can fit a 36" wide box in mine.

no need for polyfill.

they're quite expensive. best bet is to ask various audio shops to see if they have a meter for you to use (for a fee of course).

iirc the TermLab mic is $500+

www.soundsolutionsaudio.com

has 2 builders on that site, that are pretty much professional

go to the Manufacturer Forums and look at
fisher customs(bjfish11) and pound that sound(Thumpper)
they should have decent prices and will do a damn good job!
