eBay tweeters

What are your thoughts on these eBay tweeters, I was looking at a couple of sets of tweeters, and have recently bought some. I bought some Rainbows, but they're just not the color I like. What do you guys think?

Here is a link to the tweeters iam reffering to.

Have you personally benched them? I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt and hold judgment...

Designing a tweeter is not rocket science. The premium one pays for quality brands is, well, QUALITY. And piece of mind that they will do rated power.

Other than that, sonic differences are either coloration or poor design. eBay isn't a QUALITY brand, but I am confident that they compare very well to other budget oriented brands, such as profile. This is strictly from my experience with them and not just the older, ZED built models either...

Personally, I've never understood the "quality" aspect of the speakers. The paper/cardboard on the tweeters isn't going to get wet or shake at all, so build quality I don't consider important. I've actually heard that when you pair these tweets with a good amp (newer Pyle units or the older visionik 1000w amps)

So your basing your opinion on the lowest line they sold? Have you EVER used the eBay tweets? It doesn't sound like it. I am not saying you are not entitled to your opinion, I just hate to see hasty generalizations based on no actual experience. Your vague example of different tweeters leads me to believe you don't know the actual power output of either tweet past what the manual says it did under controlled circumstances. I am glad you were happier with the MTX tweets, of which I have had good luck with overall, but that doesn't give you ammunition to discount the performance of an tweet you have never used and base your opinion on another product made by the same company. Then you throw in your controlled method of "testing" 2 different tweeters of some varying level of performance that cannot be varified. I honestly DGAF what you think. I do have an issue with misleading others without good reason or proof.

As a matter of fact I ran a Visonik for a very short period of time when I was 16. That was the best I ever got. I forgot to add that one to my list above.

lol @ taking this thread seriously.

i will make a reach and say any tweeter that COMES FREE WITH (4) RING TERMINALS is garbage.

whats really funny is the tweets are free with the terminals instead of the other way around.

I don't think you could afford them, they're only for special eBay customers I'm told.

It should be! I heard the MTXs are the best out there, I'm thinking about trading my other car just for this amp lol! Be careful with amps other than the Pyle, Lanzar type, as they always inflate their numbers. You need to pay attention to the max wattage and make sure that your fuses aren't too small. If they're too big, it won't get all 10000 watts and it won't be as loud.

there's no point in running such a big wire if all the energy has to go through the little wire inside a fuse

depends on the distance

if you are going long distances, the smaller wire is much easier to hide

I heard that fuses blow though. It's just stupid to have one then. Why put an in line fuse somewhere where you need it to complete a circuit? It blows, and your amp has no power. SO DUMB.
