USB issues

I just got the Eclipse CD7200 mkII. When I listen to mp3s via USB, it won't play all the songs. Instead it skips a few of them, plays one song, then skips another, then plays the next two, etc. All the mp3s are the same bitrate. Any ideas why this happens?

Something I read about the way theyre formatted. No clue personally so you may need to search. I think Parag went through something similar in the beginning.

yeah, talking with Parag now. It doesn't cause this problem with CD-Rs, only USB.

So then that is the problem correct? Just reformat how your USBs are done.

I don't think it's that clear-cut though, cause I encoded them all the same way, but the deck plays some songs and skips others, so I'm clueless

the usb drives often have issues from what i have read. I thought that the fact that a usb hdd of any kind could be used to play music in your car was a great idea but is often heavily flawd when it actually comes to its applications. But then again this is what i have read online. Formatting as well as folder placement etc really seems to **** with it working. I wanted to get the alpine usb drive module but voted against it because of these issues.

Best of luck fixing it and know that there are many others suffering in a similar situations.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the empathy and thoughts. Do you think the problem is with the decks or the actual USBs?
