Audio newb might install on his own

5th gen MT.

Okay, I have a Pioneer HU in my car right now (single din). I forget the model number but it’s relatively new and was installed professionally last summer. Parenthetically, I’ve had two previous HUs in my car that were stolen-Pioneer AVIC-D1 and N1 before that and the navi antenna is still there.

Since I have an aftermarket HU in the car now, what am I looking at for installation of a used AVIC-D2 (I might get one for cheap)? Should it be too hard hooking it up.

Also, is it easy to bypass the parking brake feature merely by grounding the parking break wire and grounding the open pin in the wiring harness under the ground wire?

Will there be anything else I need besides a dash kit? Since I have Bose and aftermarket HU I’m guessing I have a PAC-OEM adaptor.

Thanks.

on the d3 you have to move a wire to a different pin, and ground another wire. I'll see if I can find the link
