antenna wire help

I drive a 98. which wire can i tap into to get power for my antenna motor only when i use the radio as a source???

It worked fine when it was in stock form. Now when i upgraded to a pioneer 4000 series screen w/the antenna adaptor i have no power to the antenna motor.

I tried tapping into the acc. wire but that just leaves the antenna up regardless of if im using the ipod or cd's or radio. (and i don't want that)

Any ideas ??

I hated having my antenna up all the time too and couldn't find a way for my HU to do it. I ran it to my rear window defroster button so it goes up at my will.

You typically want to tap into an amp turn on, or something with 12v acc. If you tap into a power constant, your antenna will always stay up. Your antenna motor only needs a small jolt of electricty to realize it needs to do something. If you have trouble, they do make specific antenna adapters that have power wired included on them.
