damn i was gone for a little bit and missed this whole convo...

how did his original grill look like? it can't be that damn "restrictive" to the point of hacking up the poor panel like that.

His renditoin of the original grill.. cut a hole in the door where the oem grill is, perfectly round... so you could see the cone of the mid.

Original gril was not that restrictive, nothing a drill with a tiny bit couldn't open up.

LMAO @ this entire thread.
First off, it looks bad, but not that bad, although I did chuckle when I seen part of the door grille still left there. I just hope nobody puts their foot through that speaker by mistake...

Elvito, I know you didnt ask for an opinion on your custom mod but if you are going to recommend it to others, it has to receive some type of feedback. Playing the neutral role, I also think its a bad idea, not just because of cosmetics but now its easier to damage the speaker without protection. Those 8's arent cheap either.

BTW, dont let opinions online get the best of you. Everyone here is trying to help. Internet thugs get no respect...

Anyone ever wonder why I don't show pics of my doors? I did something similar to mine as the Powerline CS mids are rediculously deep. I don't regret it at all. The output is literally night and day. I am happy with the sound, which comes first in my book.

With that being said, that is hacked up pretty good. Don't post if you dont want opinions of others, it's what we do. If you are happy with the outcome, fanfukingtastic. That is all that matters in the end.

You seriously do not want to come here. It would end badly for both of us, and wouldn't have a beneficial outcome for either party. I am no internet tough guy, I just call it like I see it.

When do you know you have lost the argument? When you have to result in name calling and idle threats.

Noone here threatened you or made fun of you because of your race. Not in any posts. Leave **** like that in grade school. If I had the slightest inclination that you were kidding, we would have all laughed it off, but I doubt that is the case.

Finally, if you don't want to hear/read what other people post, refrain from posting. It is simple. There are no pics of my doors. Follow my lead.

And to add a little positivity to the thread. Those mids are rediculously sexy. And your yard is nicely landscaped.

I thought about that myself. Most people can take a moderate level of critisism. He seems to be the exception. I have the 12ga ready, as I always do.

LMAO if dude comes up to northeast because someone made fun of his custom door panels, I will honestly laugh myself to sleep.

Just put alum foil, bling is in.
Is there a write-up? And could you be more detailed about how to get the foil to stick? Wanted to add that extra bling effect, so I bought a roll of lick'n'stick foil on ebay for $399 but Im beginning wondering if it wasnt a scam...

You bastard. How come everyone else always gets the good deals!?

(Just thought of that press'n'seal foil, too. That might be a cheaper alternative.)

I think one of the things that separates good forums from mediocre ones is the idea of constructive criticism. I've seen very little to help this guy make the most of what he's already done; replaced with lols and wtfs. Then, he gets jumped on because instead of help, he gets shat on, which causes him to make some poor posting decisions in response.

C'mon. Yeah, it's goofy looking, but the better fabbers here should have some input.
