My 8s can breathe now!! (pics)
Just wanted to let my midbasses breathe cause I was getting too much rattling from the grills/plastic of the door panels. So here's how I modified the panels (using nothing but a knife and a small pair of heavy-duty sissors). Though not cosmetically perfect, performance has greatly improved, as now even with super high volume, I hear nothing but music! I really recommend this

You should have asked what to do rather than destroy your doors. You really should have just drilled holes into the oem grill instead of cutting it out, you could have even done/could still do some custom work to the panel to fit the dls grills on their, but you now have totally unprotected midbass's because you like to "see" them working and so they can "breathe."
You could have at least asked if there were better options.

I do recall BOTH of us telling him it was unneeded to have just the holes there and made no credible difference. Did he listen? No, he made the entire thing alot worse for no gain. In which case did he only not listen to suggestions, but slapped us in the face with a "*** your ideas, Im going bigger and Ill post for the whole world". So umm victor, who took the first stab here? In case your stumped ...it was you.
That is true, and on top of that replacing those panels is QUITE expensive.

Im thinking this might be a great idea.
interesting read...its too bad we have so many haters here. to me it looks OEM due to the mids basic black look to them...I'd consider doing this to my car if my germ mids weren't shiny aluminum.
