When I turn on my radio, a loud tone comes from the speakers. I can't adjust the volume and the only way to make the tone stop is to turn the radio off.

For a few weeks the radio would work like this, the radio would work fine...there would be no loud tone....and then while listening to music it would cut to the loud tone and I'd have to turn the radio off. Then the next day I would drive it and the radio would work for a few minutes and then cut to the loud tone again. It has been a few weeks and I get nothing but the loud tone when I turn on the radio.

It seems I have the same issue as this discussed in this thread, http://forums.maxima.org/audio-elect...ng-popped.html, but I'm not radio savy and can't understand what the problem was and how it was fixed.
