It is a long story. If you have AIM, I will discuss it there. I don't want to here.

I suck at asking for things. These are for a 3rd party and he needs a passive set. If he were going active I would have him get the AA carbon mids and Morel tweeter.

So yeah, the set would need to include a passive crossover.

I like where your head is at though.

i'm not sure how much the hi-energy sets cost, but look into those. they sound pretty decent. i've heard and installed a few sets into customers' cars....most recently this past weekend.

SLC NGs

Chris, no more worries your stuff is on it's way brand new.

Cliffs:

Rainbow distributor up and left all dealers and consumers hanging. Chris had his drivers in for warranty and go fuxored. Rainbow took a bit of time to evaluate the situation since they technically are not responsible since the dist had the drivers. In the end Rainbow made good and is shipping a brand new set of drivers and crossovers.

Another good point. I hate trying to gather information from a 3rd party. Apparently there is an amp. I have no idea of brand of model, but he siad it is rated @ 60x2@4ohms. It is 2ohm stable but obviously this is a moot issue.

I will see what kind of depth he has available to him. I know the id oem's are pretty deep and wide as far as motor design. The guy who is asking me for some suggestions actually just sold the 2 sets of id oems he had laying around.

Do you have a FS thread?

ORLY? This is an interesting turn of events and is actually in my favor. I appreciate your hard work as always. I am interested to see what the carbons can do against these. I can always use the carbons in wifey's truck if they arent what I am looking for.

For everyone else.... I don't like to bad mouth a company when I don't have all the facts about the situation. I knew enough from my conversations with Don that I didn't want to post something in haste that may turn out to be false just b/c my vag had sand in it. My patience and contacts (Don), have not let me down yet.

Don, not exactly sure what this kid wants. He isn't the type to listen to music at distortion levels or above. He doesn't have gobs of power, he listens to just about everything so is a bit harder to identify the beginings of a good set. IDK, I will have to call you later when I get done cleaning. House guests tonight for Halloween.
