no final pic of the final HU install, if you don't know what your looking at (and most of my "friends" don't) they wouldn't even know that the dash kit was modified...hell they probably think its the original kit that came with the car

Looks awesome. I never get out of that garage w/o something new either.

You guys and your fancy ego seats. I was going to pick one up, but I am never in the garage much anymore.

Ran into several small problems, had to find the NSS for the car, minor issues going through the firewall, trip to CC for a new box since his was moldy, etc...

The wires looked better than that when you left. Looks like the box is pulled out on the left, hence they wires are all tight, like that speaker wire.

i'm not saying it would take 2. did you ever see me say that? thx for putting words in my mouth . I guess you are you still sour because i was right that it's safer fusing your alt to batt + wire? regardless...

When i saw 14 hours was just like WTF happened?!?! i knew something didn't go as planned. i did a very similar install on my friend's g35 and with me working alone i think it took 6-7 hours with smoke breaks beer etc. i'm by no means an expert or fast. but i'v also done enough installs to have a rough idea about how long it takes. however all you need is one problem though to put a kink in the whole plan.

now i understand why it took so long

op: what did you have before this installed in your whip?

His car was stock prior to the install. Normally this would have been a 2-3hr job. However more rings need to be made, a trip to the store since it is faster and cheaper than me making a new enclosure, NSS wire and firewall were a PITA, changed location of rear speakers, etc ...
