Add another cig. lighter input thing?

I got a dvd player/tv from a friend. I had to buy a new car charger for it, and well, the charger is huge, and I dont like the look of how the center console is with a phone charger, ipod charger, or dvd player charger, so is there away I can easily mount up wires from the battery or something, to plug into the dvd player, or the other chargers? I want to have something mounted under one of the front seats. I'm playing on having a secret switch somewhere, so I can turn the charger on or off, so it doesnt run the battery down.

What I need help is, where do I get the cig. lighter thing where I can run it from the battery? Where in the fire wall I can run the wires? Do I need anykind of resistor or some other things, so it wont over power the players or chargers, and possible blow something? I really hate anything that sit on the center console, like a charger, its just something I hate to see in my car. I just want something simple, and un-noticable.

Any suggestions, and anything I need is welcome. Also, this not a need, so I will not buy the parts or stuff I need until I get extra money.

They make cig lighter splitters - look into one of those perhaps.

You can hardwire it directly to the battery, fused. Drill through the firewall where your clutch cylinder would be if you were manual (assuming you're auto). Resistor? Nope, just fuse it.

Just to confirm, you COULD tap into the existing wire, however depending how many pieces of equipment you're running, the power supply may not be able to handle that. The remedy is to either - run a relay, or run a direct power wire from the battery.

But in either option, you still have to run a wire from the batt.

I would like to keep as simple as possible, I dont want to have a splitter from the exsisting cig., so that wont work. I do have auto, is there somewhere I can just put a simple wire through, kinda like something for a sub woofer amp, but not. Also, what kinda fuse would be best? I have a large "20" fuse, with the thing that the fuse plugs into, it was used for a sub woofer amp wire from the battery to the amp.

Can somebody link me to the things that I may need, like the best fuse, with the adaptor thing(or what ever its called), and the thing the charger plugs into.

Exactly the same procedure as an amp, but a smaller wire. I can't imagine you needing anything more than 30amps or so.

You don't even really need the cig lighter adapters - they all come apart anyway, can just be hardwired.

Thanks, I knew I needed that, but I forgot what it was called. So what kinda fuse would you recommend, 30, or if theres a 35, 35?

30 should be fine but it all depends on what you're powering, and if you are powering everything simultaneously.
