Cluster Question, Electronic gurus step in.

I have a question you may or may not be able to answer, My speedo dont work anymore, when i redid my faces i was dumb and used a power supply to try to get the speedo to move and find out how to recalibrate it, well i heard a small sizzle and let the smoke out of something in the circut board in the cluster, iam curious If you may know what i burned out. If not, it was worth a try and thanks for your efforts.
Here is a pic of the product, Iam comfortable soldering and replacing components, i just help to find out which one is toasted. There is no visual signs.

Pm Checked, i also know which chip to remove to keep my odo the same , Its the small IC chip you see in the photo top right of the odo display, i did some research, its just the mem chip that hold the mileage so that will work nicely.

Went to junk yard today and scored one, $20, from the same year model as mine, except it was fully loaded and silver, motor was gone already and half the interior, they dont last long in junkyards.

Did you dis connect your battery when you installed the new cluster? I dont know how I may help, because I never wanted to mess with my cluster.
