Good deal?

My friend is offering me $500 for 2 Alpine Type S 10 inch subwoofers, Alpine ported box, and a ssl 1200 watt amp. They are about a year and a half old. Should I take em?

If everything is in good condition, that is a great price.

As for the subs, the type-s's sound okay but are by far not the best. For the money, I would purchase a set of 10/12 solo baric L7's and build a box myself (3/4 mdf ~$20). I am unfamiliar with ssl amps, so I can offer no insight on them; however, with the above said setup, you could probably pick up a nice two-channel kicker/audiobahn amp for $200 or so. This whole set up may put you at around $500-700.
