I did my research and it sounds like my head unit is dead. My display works fine cause i fixed that a while back but just recently my cd player doesn't work. It just says CD err. So i went and I soldered the resistor #R529 with no go.(the resistor that the website madchef.com might be the cause of the Cd err) I also read that the laser or lense could have gone out because I play a lot of burned CDs. If it is dead what would you guys suggest as a replacement. Newer Pathy 6-disc maybe? Or if its an easy fix let me know. Mind you I am a poor man.

If you don't want to go aftermarket the Pathfinder radio is a nice fit..I installed one in an I30 sounded good and you get MP3 capabilities

Does anyone have any imput. I would use my ipod but i lost it somewhere so im outta luck. Help would be nice. Plus I am decent at soldering so any suggestions would be cool.

 

^^^It just happened again...f*&^ bose...Funny thing is it fixed itself for like a month then did the same thing. I've always had bad luck with audio equipment. I'm just going to do the Auxilary Imput hack until I can save up enough money for a decent system. Thanks Org.
